Quick FRESH TOMATOES SAUCE

Okay let me confess, I get used to things easily especially when it comes to foods and that explains why i like trying out new things. Sincerely I'm tired of our normal stew (with the tin tomatoes and all) to that effect  I’ve been enjoying my veggie sauces. So here's something I just tried (you must have tried something like that too because its really simple and fast) and if you're still looking for something light and sweet (and you've not tried this you should) to eat your rice then this is it. I'm sorry I couldn't take a picture I just didn’t have the time as I was so much in a hurry to eat :)

So here are things you'll need:

*  Fresh Tomatoes
*  Onions
*  Fresh pepper
*  Seasoning
*  Good vegetable oil/Coconut/Olive
*  Mushrooms
*  Farrow's Giant Marrowfat Peas
*  Chicken (I decided to use that to get the taste I want  and that might be because I'm used to Turkey so if I'd used it, it won't be different) that's for me you can choose what you want :)

Preparation...
So I just sliced the tomatoes, pepper and onions (I didn't blend)
Heat my oil and add the onions, then tomatoes (please don't stir)
It was almost dried but fresh still
I added my seasoning and salt to taste.
Allowed it to simmer and then stirred gently.
I added my chicken and stock. (Allowed to simmer for few mins too)
I added my mushrooms
Then the peas.
Stir and bring it down.

Oh you'll love this. I just tried it out cos I am really not a fan of Tin Tomatoes. If I'm to use, I just use one or two depending on the quantity. So I wanted something different that will still contain my veggies. You can serve this with baked beans if you like.

And the food is ready. “Chei! I no fit snap” :D. I was so hungry and the food finished patapata. You can snap yours or let’s say I will send the pic the next time I make this sauce.

FLAVORED WATER (aka DETOX WATER) AND MY SUGAR ADDICTION

photo credit: www.theredheadriter.com

Talk about loving sugary things i have an addiction. Maybe because of my work then i barely have time to "really eat" and just maybe because i hate eating out. My sin... Mirinda! This drink taking chilled can actually be the answer to my headache lol. Yea we all know addiction is not only to drugs, for me its the same thing with the urge to always take a bottle of chilled mirinda with 2 chicken/meat pies everyday and you just can't stop yourself. I REALLY LOVE THOSE. Oh that was my addiction :D bad i know :(

But thanks to flavored water. Those cravings are "almost" gone except for cheat days lol.

1 lemon
1 ginger
1 cucumber
10 pieces of mint leave (i really don't get those so i just use "nchuanwu" aka scent leave) you can any of you favorite fruit just to make it more fun for you.

So i cut, slice and pour everything into a jar and add 2litrs of water and allow it to infuse over night. Then i start with drinking it in the morning and I will make sure i finish everything before the day runs out. One thing i knew was that it actually reduced my cravings for that drink in particular and my sugar cravings drastically dropped. That affect amazing because it was like a burden was lifted off me and i felt so free and happy :) i also started making healthier choices and you don't want to hear the name my sister gave me lol that's a topic for another day.

So to someone who is stock with Fanta or Coke well you can actually say no to "addiction" of any kind, especially unhealthy foods. What's your addiction? You can fight it. Eat healthy. Drink healthy and stay fabulous. Remember, you crave what you eat more. Drink more sugary bottled drinks and you'll crave more for sugary things including fast foods. Eat more healthy stuffs like veggies and fruits and your sugar cravings will go down. I tried it and it worked. You can try it too.
